OUR STORY
A Sustainable Family-Owned Business
Here at the Puddle Pond, we make every effort to have a hand in all stages of a product's lifecycle. That means collecting rain water for reuse, growing our own feed, composting everything possible to enrich our soils, building spaces for our animals with recycled materials, and finding craft uses for as many parts of a plant as possible. We value the principles of sustainable permaculture and put our full selves into making our Puddle Pond a little slice of paradise.

ABOUT THE PUDDLE POND
We're a very small operation, located on an acre of land towards the end of a dead-end street. About a quarter of the land is a pond, which ebbs and flows in water's edge so much that sometimes it is more of a puddle. Our home sits just exactly in the middle, creating a balance between the backyard pond and the front yard gardens. Those gardens are sometimes crops, sometimes native flower oasis, but it grows and provides us sustenance just the same. We live in this place with all of the creatures that survive in the pond and in the gardens, plus Hank and the cats, our hearts. We hope your experience of the Puddle Pond brings just as much fulfillment.

100% GOOD FOR YOU
The health of our animals and plants is important to us, because we value the quality of our products. We make strategic decisions about how our farm is managed, and pass on the fruits of that intentionality to you. We are always exploring new ways to sustain ourselves and our community, by experimenting with new products or growing techniques, improving efficiency and energy use, and sharing the space with anyone who will listen.
